1. application background
The application of thermal protection in the transformer industry is also very extensive, mainly toroidal transformers, large dry-type transformers, medical transformers, etc. When the ambient temperature is too high, or the transformer is running abnormally, it is easy to burn and cause fire hazards. If the built-in thermal protector can effectively avoid similar situations and ensure safety.
2. protection principle
When the transformer is abnormally overheated or the ambient temperature is too high, when the ambient temperature felt by the protector reaches the rated operating temperature, the bimetal of the protector will deform and separate from the contact to form an open circuit and actively cut off the power supply. If the protector is in the control loop, it will transmit a signal to the control board to cut off the power supply. When the temperature returns to the normal state, the protector is reset and the transformer works normally.
3. installation position
Embedded in the coil, connected to the main circuit, so that the temperature is more accurate and sensitive.
· Stick the protector on the surface of the coil, and then wrap and fix it with insulating tape.
4. selection
· Volume: for the convenience of embedded in the coil inside, can choose round KSD button series.
Current: According to the rated current voltage, choose KSD-B(5A) or KSD-D(10A).
Temperature: generally 130 ℃, 150 ℃, 155 ℃, etc., and also 180 ℃; Most of the insulation grades are F grade, and those with higher requirements will have H grade.
